Left For Dead is the long anticipated solo effort from veteran Long Beach rapper Capitol I-Man, Formerly of the famed duo Tha Mexakinz, as well as his rock/punk, hip-hop band Capitol Eye.
What can be expected from Left for Dead? A total departure from I-Man’s earlier work. “It’s one of the realest albums you will experience in present day Hip-Hop” Says Capital I-Man in a phone interview with Flourish and Prosper.
With songs like “Sirens” featuring Ras Kass & Psycho Les, I-Man dives into the corruption of police brutality and a system that needs to be corrected. In “Anacondas”, produced by Demente of HCP, I-Man cannot escape his west coast roots.
The features on this album are some of the biggest names in underground Hip-Hop/Rap. I-Man calls on Ras Kass, Psycho Les, Red Cloud, Shabastik, Gunnie Sonatchra and many more legends in the underground scene.Anyone with any understanding of the Hip-Hop culture will appreciate the depth of this album. It’s definitely a must listen!
